Welcome to the Holmstead Family Blog

I decided to create this blog to help our family dispense news and pictures to each other. It is fairly easy to use and I hope it provides us with a way to keep in touch and easily let everyone else know what we're up to.

Anytime you want to view what others have entered into the website, just go to
holmsteadfamily.blogspot.com
You can make a comment on any post by clicking on the "0 comments" link at the end of each post.

If you want to contribute a post to the website, you'll first have to login. E-mail me at *** and I can send you an e-mail with an invitation to join this blog. The instructions you'll get from that e-mail are pretty straight forward. It will have you create a login name and password then you'll have rights to post on this blog.

Once you login, you will be taken to a page called the "dashboard" where you are then able to post your own items. Click on the little green plus sign (+) below the words "new post" and you'll be able to enter your own post. When you are finished, click on the orange "publish post" box at the bottom of the page. You should then be able to see your post on the main page (homlsteadfamily.blogspot.com). If your new post doesn't show up, you may need to refresh your browser.

You can also add photos to your post. To do this, you need to click on the picture of a landscape while you are typing your post (hopefully this will make sense once you're logged in and typing a post). It will then ask you to find the photo on your computer. If you choose to add a photo, you'll have to do this while typing your post and before you click on the "publish post" box.
